THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW

"Things are not as they appear” became the mantra I used in working with this script, harkening back to my English education in gothic literature.  A traditional proscenium theatre was re-configured to gymnasium seating on and extending from the stage along a steel "nave" or "runway" to best allow the audience to watch the show and one another watching the show. This sense of voyeurism, the punk attitude and tradition, elements of high fashion, and the cult interaction that was born from this script all influenced this production.
