Director/Choreographer

We Beseech Thee (excerpt)

With design inspired by the architecture and environment of 30th Street Station in Philadelphia, I devised the piece with the ensemble representing any and every man, entering from the audience at the top of show and exiting into the house after their stories played out. Jesus was hidden in plain sight within the set at top of show, revealing himself only after the set came alive with the ensemble. The parables for me are lessons on how to treat your fellow man, regardless of religious belief system, for some semblance of their morals are found in most spiritual doctrines. I wanted to build a sense of community where we, ensemble and audience alike, are all connected, treat one another with respect, learn from each other's differences, and leave this experience with perhaps just a glimmer of hope for humanity restored.
