ALTERED (a work in progress)

In choreographing Altered, I was drawn to how technology can shift not only space, but perception. A live-feed projection hovered above the stage, its purposefully delayed image creating an ethereal double of the dancers—ghostlike, microscopic, slightly out of time. The audience was invited to choose their perspective: the immediacy of live movement, or its fragmented echo. The choreography lived in that tension—between presence and memory, clarity and distortion. Rooted in experiences of watching change unfold in real time, Altered asked what it means to see someone you know, not quite as you knew them, and to hold space for both.
Al-tered: change or cause to change in character or composition, typically in a comparatively small yet significant way
